Oh, Susannah! by Gary Beckley is a gem that deserves all five stars! From the moment I began reading I was captivated by the well-crafted characters, the intricately woven convergence of fact and fiction, and the mesmerizing storytelling.

I can’t help but give this 5 stars as it’s a very informative and historically accurate fictional story (facts with entertaining fiction wrapped around the facts). The story captivated me from the start. It reminded me of some of the Little House on the Prairie episodes I watched on TV as a youngster.

First I need to say that I have never read a book of any kind since my middle school days. My mind is always roaming about work or what I forgot to do or what I’m going to be doing so I never remember much of anything that I have ever read in books
